New York Saturday

Today we met up with Carolyn and Doug Farmer at The Spotted Pig in Greenwich Village for lunch. We first met them when they stayed at Lacoste Cottage last year - they came over from Canada to NZ for a wedding. They live near Toronto so the chance to meet up again in New York seemed too good an opportunity to miss.

The Spotted Pig has the feel of an English Pub - beers on tap and great food.

After lunch we walked back to our apartment.....

.....and St Marks Place

 

We met up with them again for dinner at Anthony Bourdain's "Les Halles" French bistro.

 

Four of us had the cassoulet - pork belly duck, Toulouse and merguez sausages, and beans

 And finished the night sharing a Crêpes Suzette
